| Alzheimers |
| Alzheimer's disease is a disorder which destroys a person's memory, communication, reasoning and judgement skills. Eventually, if no other disease or illness intervenes, Alzheimer's disease causes total loss of brain function and death. There is no cure for this disease although great strides are being made in the scientific and medical communities. My beloved father passed away from Alzheimer's disease and I miss him greatly. | Child Abuse |
| As a former middle school teacher I have sadly seen more than my fair share of child abuse and neglect victims. Our children depend on adults to protect them. Please don't hesitate to notify law enforcement if you have reason to suspect abuse. One place that my husband and I support in this area is Boys and Girls Town. |

| Hubby and I don't have any "real" children but we do have plenty of furkids that we love dearly. To see an animal abused or neglected breaks my heart. One site that I support for protection of my "hooved friends" is The Hooved Animal Humane Society. |
